Peggy Taylor Peggy Taylor, M. Ed, is a leadership trainer, executive coach, artist, and creativity specialist widely known for her work incorporating creative development into group work and youth development. She is co-founder and Director of Training of PYE Global (Partnership for Youth Empowerment), an international training organization dedicated to helping communities provide transformational programs for their youth. Peggy has trained several thousand adults in facilitation, leadership, personal presence, and ways to use the arts to build strong groups. She has extensive experience designing and facilitating programs for diverse groups of youth and adults, and has provided training for the staffs of a wide range of schools and non-profit organizations. In the past three years she has served on the faculty of the Bainbridge Graduate Institute’s MBA in Sustainable Business. Peggy is passionate about helping people discover their innate creativity as a vehicle for making a difference in the world. In the early ‘90s Peggy graduated cum laude from Lesley University in Cambridge Massachusetts with a Masters of Education in Creative Arts and Learning. Through her studies she became passionate about the role the creative arts can play in healing communities and fostering innovation, collaboration, and joy within organizations. In 1996 she co-founded the Power of Hope: Youth Empowerment through the Arts, a Seattle-based non-profit organization that serves over 1500 youth and 1000 adults each year. Through her work with PYE Global she reaches youth workers and teachers in South Africa, Uganda, India, England, and North America. Peggy received executive and life coaching training from Breakthrough Enterprises in San Rafael, California. She coaches individuals and incorporates coaching principles into her work with groups. Peggy has been creative director and facilitator for gatherings ranging from 50-person think tanks to conferences for the general public with over 2500 participants. She is co-author of Chop Wood, Carry Water: A Guide to Finding Spiritual Fulfillment in Everyday Life (J.P.Tarcher/Putnam, 1984), which has sold over a quarter of a million copies worldwide. She is an award-winning magazine editor and was the executive editor of Dr. Andrew Weil’s Self Healing Newsletter, the largest integrative medicine newsletter in the US. Peggy is a co-founder of Hollyhock Retreat Centre on Cortes Island, B.C. (www.hollyhock.ca) and is currently a member of its board of directors. She served on the board of directors of the Association of Humanistic Psychology and was AHP Co-President in the mid-1980s. Peggy is a gifted, inspirational teacher who can awaken the creative spark in individuals and groups. Her warmth, humor, and facilitation skills create a safe, supportive environment for people to stretch themselves and deepen their journey of self-discovery.
